Prof. of Medical Stats. & Epidemiology
I work mostly on trials and epidemiological studies of vector borne diseases including dengue and leishmaniasis. I am one of the the leaders of the methods theme of the International Statistics and Epidemiology Group. I am also affiliated with CIDEIM in Cali, Colombia, where I have been based since 2004. I previously lived in Nigeria and Papua New Guinea, working on trials of ivermectin against onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis. My first degree is in mathematics and my PhD was on the epidemiology of lymphatic filariasis.
